The Owner of GoGreenBedding Discusses the Somina Mattress
I was shopping for retail products for my interior design business down on 6th St. in Austin, Texas when I came across the Somina Productsand the inventor Dr. Sass. I don’t think it took me more than 15 minutes to purchase my first mattress. That was back in January of 2008. I knew there wasn’t a better product on the market than the Somina. The hypo-allergenic, organic and new technology components make the Somina superior to any mattress I’ve ever tried. Since I’ve been sleeping on my Somina mattress I have less lower-back pain from sleeping on my stomach and my neck and shoulders aren’t aching when I wake up. My knees used to hurt when I would lie on my side and that pain has been reduced as well. I love my sleep now and I can’t put a price tag on that.

“I bought my Somina Mattresses in April of 2008 and have been truly sleeping more sound ever since. I absolutely love mine. It's also a pleasure to hear my guests rave about their good night's sleep when they visit. I bought the Somina Contour Pillowsas well and I no longer wake up with neck pain in the mornings. Thanks Somina!”

Austin Designer Discovers the Somina Sleep System
When I was in high school playing volleyball the results of a routine physical showed I had early signs of scoliosis of the spine. This is a condition that causes the spine to curve to the left or right side. Sometimes the curve resembles the letter S or C. Mine resembles an S that seems to twist back and forth and buckle out giving it a shelf-like appearance. Scoliosis can develop during childhood or adolescence as mine did. The changes scoliosis causes can happen slowly over time or more quickly. My pain escalated during my college years.
Volleyball injuries, moving from apartment to apartment in college, and finally a severe car accident in my mid-twenties caused me to face the true; my back was in bad shape, literally. Chronic lower back pain, burning sensations in the curvature of my spine, unrelenting shoulder blade pinching and a herniated left disc finally convinced me I needed real help. I went to three different chiropractors and started daily exercises to help build muscles and release some of the stress. This led to my research on back pain and sleeplessness.
In January 2008 I went to the World Trade Center in Dallas, Texas on my annual trip to Market to find new products for my clients. This is where I was introduced to the organic Somina Sleep System. After talking with the inventor Dr. Sass I knew I had found the newest technology in the mattress industry and was ready to purchase one. Just what the doctor ordered! Here is a green living product, safe for the environment, and will increase the quality of my life and the lives of my clients, friends and loved ones.
It is made of soy bean oil, fully organic! It doesn't get hot at night like other memory foams made of petroleum oil. This product is made with tiny little holes all through the foam to breathe like the pores in your skin. It's supportive yet soft.
The organic cover is made of two natural fibers, lyocell and kapok. The first draws out moisture and helps to create and maintain a micro-dry sleeping climate. This is important because it helps keep the moisture (sweat) lost during sleep from seeping into the mattress causing fungus and mold growth. And the level of comfort while sleeping is enhanced because the hot flashes and night sweats are managed.
Kapok, the second fiber, comes from the Kapok tree in Indonesia. The tree is not harmed because the fiber comes from the fruit on the tree. The fruit has a natural bitterness that repels bedbugs and other insects. What a concept.
The maintenance is easy for the Somina Sleep System. The mattress doesn’t need to be flipped or rotated as it has layers. The cover unzips on three sides and can be machine washed and air or machine dried. A mattress protector can be added to prevent stains and all standard sheet sets fit the mattresses and contour pillows.

Student Raves about Athens Sheets
These sheets are amazing! They feel like silk but they keep nice and cool. They're easy to wash, keep their color well, and feel better every time you use them. I would highly recommend investing in Athens sheets to any of my friends or anyone looking to find the best night's sleep around!
